Job Description
NetApp is looking for a motivated Data & Analytics Engineer to join its Enterprise Data & Analytics organization. The role involves developing and supporting enterprise data, analytics, automation, and AI-powered solutions that help business teams make data-driven decisions.
The candidate will work on Power BI semantic models, dashboards, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, cloud data platforms, and AI-enabled applications. The position also provides an opportunity to explore Generative AI, Large Language Models, Machine Learning, Agentic AI, and other emerging technologies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, AI/ML, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Cloud Analytics, AI/ML, or Generative AI solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, dashboard development, DAX, Power Query, and semantic modelling.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Exposure to Snowflake, Oracle, Databricks, or modern cloud data platforms.
- Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration, and data warehousing.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with Generative AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI APIs, or equivalent technologies.
- Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and knowledge search.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts including predictive analytics and recommendation systems.
- Understanding of Agentic AI, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, MCP, tool calling, or workflow automation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and automation tools such as Power Automate or Office Scripts.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, security, and metadata management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with business and technical teams.
